RESTRICTIONS UPDATE

From Friday 29 October at 6.00pm, there were some changes to restrictions in VIC that will affect who can visit our facilities.

VACCINATION
Everyone aged 16 years and over must have had both shots of your COVID-19 vaccine or have an exception to attend our golf facilities as outlined here. You will need to show proof at reception and provide it on request from authorised law enforcement officers.
Only fully vaccinated persons may enter the clubhouse and our ProShop. If you’re not fully vaccinated or have an exception you may not visit us at this time.

Services Available
Playing casually in groups of four is permitted, competition golf is allowed, and Group coaching can occur for 30 participants.

Checking In
It is a requirement to check in on the VIC Services App. Please show your Green Tick to staff at entry.

Mask Wearing
Masks must be worn indoors at all times except when eating or drinking, and a mask must be carried at all times;

Good Hygiene
Social distancing and hygiene measures must be adhered to when visiting the Centre.

Stay home if you are unwell
If you are unwell; or if you are not permitted to attend under the current health orders, please do not attend.

Follow Team Member Advice
All members and guests are required to follow the direction of our staff or any law enforcement officer.

Be Kind
This is a challenging time for all our customers and staff. We kindly request that you are patient with team members and fellow facility users alike as we all adjust to this new normal.

WE ARE OPENING!

We look forward to seeing you!The Victorian Government has now confirmed that on Wednesday, September 29, Victoria will reach the 80% first dose vaccination target enabling the resumption of golf in metropolitan Melbourne.

There will be further details released on club/facility operations that will be dependent upon the Chief Health Officer’s directives, and we will communicate these as soon as this information becomes available.For now the rules at our facility are;

  • Play must be in groups of two.
  • Players must reside within 15km of the club/facility that they are playing at;
  • Group coaching can take place with two people. The coach is excluded from these numbers.
  • Masks must be worn at all times unless there is a medical reason not to do so. This includes while playing golf.
  • All staff, members and visitors must check in using the QR service.
  • If you are unwell, please do not attend.
  • Please follow the directions of our team members and any authorities.

Further changes are scheduled for the 70% second dose vaccination target. We will communicate more information on the implementation of these changes once confirmed by government and closer to the date.We can’t wait to see you back on the course!

As per this week’s announcement, we will remain closed due to the VIC Government restrictions being extended.

When we have further understanding of a re-opening date we will reach out to you.

MONDAY 16TH AUGUST 2021

LOCKDOWN EXTENSION

As per today’s announcement, we will remain closed due to the VIC Government lockdown with a view to re-open on Friday, 3rd September.

We miss you, and we can’t wait to invite you back into the golf course, but we know these restrictions are in place to keep our community safe.

Members and students at our courses will be paused for the period we are closed. 

All course bookings during the closure will be cancelled, we recommend rebooking directly using the rebook function in your confirmation email. Alternatively, we can call to arrange a new tee time.

FACILITY CLOSURE

In line with the directions issued by the State Government, we will be closed from 8pm Thursday, 5th August 2021 with a view to re-open in 7 days.

Members and students at our courses will be credited for the period we are closed.

WE ARE REOPENING!

The time is almost here and we’re counting down the hours!

Glen Waverley & Oakleigh Golf courses will re-open from Wednesday, 28 June 2021. We know you’re keen to tee off on our greens so please use our online booking system to help secure your booking time and meet the restrictions imposed on us by the Victorian Government

We are incredibly thankful for the community response to the lockdown over the past week that has allowed us to get to this place. Our team is excited to welcome back our valued golfers.

VICTORIAN LOCKDOWN EXTENDED

As per today’s Government announcement, we will remain closed until 27th July due to the Victorian lockdown being extended. 

Members and students at our courses will be credited for the period we are closed.

THURSDAY 15H JULY 2021

FACILITY CLOSURE

Following the Premier’s announcement, Oakleigh Golf Course will be closed from tonight during the Victoria lockdown over the next five days, at a minimum. At this stage, we plan to resume operations on Wednesday 21st July 2021.
All course bookings during the closure will be cancelled, we recommend rebooking yourself directly using the rebook function in your confirmation email. Alternatively, we can call to arrange a new tee time.

THURSDAY 10TH JUNE 2021

WE ARE RE-OPENING!

We are excited to announce that both Glen Waverley & Oakleigh Golf courses will re-open from Friday, June 11th 2021! We know you’re keen to tee off on our greens so please use our online booking system to help you secure your booking time. Please click on the link here to save your spot today.

COVID RESTRICTIONS:

  • The outdoor gathering limit is 10 people;
  • a 100m distance can be maintained within groups
  • Competitions cannot be conducted, however handicapping of social scores is permitted;
  • Masks must be worn indoors unless eating or drinking, or outdoors where 1.5m social distancing cannot be observed;
  • Service Victoria QR requirements have been expanded to include mandatory check-in across all retail settings and workplaces;
  • Group coaching can recommence in groups of 10 or less (including the coach);
  • The 25km movement limit applies to members and players;

Due to restrictions announced today by the State Government, we have some new changes at our facility.

The below strict guidelines will need to be adhered to utilise our golf course.

  • Online Bookings are still ESSENTIAL – please click below to book.
  • Face masks are not required to play.
  • Walk-ins will be permitted but subject to availability
  • A contact tracing system will be in place on your arrival.
  • Equipment is available for hire now.

SUNDAY 18TH OCTOBER 2020

Due to restrictions announced today by the State Government we are excited to re-open our facilities to the public from tomorrow, Monday, 19th October 2020 at 9am.

The below strict guidelines will need to be adhered to to utilise our golf course.

  • Online Bookings are ESSENTIAL – please click below to book.
  • Only 4 people can play at any one time
  • No refunds been given for cancelations. Rescheduling possible up to 3 days before.
  •  
  • You must wear an appropriate face mask, covering nose and mouth the whole time.
  • Walk-ins will be permitted but subject to availability
  • A contact tracing system will be in place on your arrival.
  • There will be no cart hire permitted during this time.
  • There will be no hire equipment.
  • Driving range remains closed.

SUNDAY 2ND AUGUST 2020

Inline with the state governments stage 4 restrictions the golf course will be closed until further notice.

THURSDAY 9TH JULY 2020

Inline with recent government announcements, Oakleigh and Glen Waverley Golf Courses will remain open during this six week lockdown period. The below strict guidelines will need to be adhered to:

  • Only 2 people can play at any one time
  • All participants including members MUST call in order to make a booking.
  • No walk-ins will be taken during this period.
  • A contact tracing system will be in place on your arrival.
  • There will be no cart hire permitted during this time.
  • Due to demand and limits per group, golfers will only be permitted to play 9 holes at Oakleigh.

MONDAY 11TH MAY 2020

We have some good news! Golf at Oakleigh is back as of 13th May 2020.

We will be operating under our regular operating hours but with new restrictions.

  • No sharing of Buggies or pull carts
  • No pins, no rakes in bunkers and cups turned up
  • The pro-shops will be open with restrictions in place
  • Cashless payment is encouraged
  • Adhering to social distancing & hygiene measures 
  • 10 people only on putting green

Dear members & patrons,

We understand that with so much information relating to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) going around in the media, you may have concerns about how the situation is being managed at our large public facility.

Here are some tips to we recommend to minimise the risk of the virus spreading. Please understand that the safety, health and well-being of our customers and staff is always our top priority. Our golf course continues to be a public facility and workplace that remains safe to attend.

We want you to feel confident when you’re using our facilities. We have and will continue to put in place a number of proactive measures to protect customers and staff well-being:

  • Hand sanitiser available throughout the facility.
  • Thorough cleaning and sanitisation practices throughout the centre
  • Multilingual signage relating to personal hygiene in key areas.
